I ordered a product from Amazon India as a Prime member, with an expected delivery timeline of around 10 days. While browsing the website after a couple of days, I noticed that the price of the same product dropped by ₹150. The product was not yet delivered. Instead of immediately cancelling and reordering, I decided to contact Amazon support to check my options. I’ve been using Amazon for the past 4–5 years and always received my orders through Delhivery. But over the past month, most of my packages are being shipped via India Post. The problem is that my local post office doesn’t deliver larger packages to my home. Instead, they just call me and tell me to come pick them up myself. The post office is about 2 km away, so I have to go there just to collect something I’ve already paid to have delivered. I don’t get why I’m being charged marketplace and delivery fees if I still have to go and pick up the package myself. I’ve never used Flipkart before, but this is honestly making me consider switching.
